Description

Established in 1973, Page & Turnbull is one of the first architecture and planning firms in California dedicated to historic preservation and new design in historic contexts.  With offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and San Jose, our staff includes licensed architects, designers, conservators, preservation planners, and architectural historians who approach each project with imagination and flexibility. Page & Turnbull’s Architecture Studio specializes in the preservation, rehabilitation, repair, adaptive reuse, and maintenance of historic structures. All of our offices have an immediate need for an experienced Architect Project Manager to lead projects throughout California and join the current staff of approximately 45 people.  We are seeking an experienced Architect with demonstrated construction phase experience on the renovation of existing commercial buildings.



Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Over 10-years of architectural experience including providing construction phase architectural services.
  • Bachelor of Architecture degree or a Master of Architecture degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Architectural licensure (preferably in California).
  • Proven ability to manage clients and meet or exceed their expectations.
  • A proven record of delivering projects within an agreed to schedule and budget.
  • Meet the National Park Service’s Professional Qualification Standards (Code of Federal Regulations, 36 CFR Part 61) for Historic Architecture or Architecture (preferred).
  • Fluency in the Microsoft Office program suite.
  • Fluency in AutoCAD and REVIT, including minimum 2+ years’ experience producing construction documents in Revit.

Duties

  • Develop and manage project work plans, budgets, & schedules.
  • Prepare a variety of studies and reports, including, but not limited to: Design Studies, Existing Conditions Assessments; Feasibility Studies; Code Analysis; and Historic Structure Reports.
  • Assume project manager and/or project architect role on architecture projects, as prime or sub consultant.
  • Prepare Contract Documents.
  • Collaboratively manage teams for large projects and work individually on smaller projects simultaneously.
  • Construction Phase services, coordination with client and consultants and internal team regarding interpretation of the project documents: respond to RFI’s, review submittals, perform site visits and prepare field reports, and preparation of supplemental drawings.
  • Manage Client communication and relationships.
  • Collaborate with and supervise/mentor junior staff.
